Welcome to the "Prevention of Sexual Harassment" course. This is a mandatory training for anyone joining Impact Analytics. One has to complete this training within one day of joining Impact Analytics. Tenured team members should retake this course as a refresher every year.

Course Outline - This course will cover the below agenda points.

Introduction to POSH

1. Introduction to POSH (1 hour)

Objective: Understand the importance and scope of POSH.

          • Overview of Sexual Harassment
          • Historical context and evolution of POSH policies
          • Importance of POSH in the workplace
          • Key terms and definitions

2. Legal Framework (1.5 hours)

Objective: Learn about relevant laws and regulations.

          • Overview of applicable laws (e.g., Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, local and international regulations)
          • Definitions and legal standards
          • Employer obligations and employee rights
          • Recent amendments and case studies

3. Identifying Sexual Harassment (1.5 hours)

Objective: Recognize different forms and scenarios of harassment.

          • Types of sexual harassment (quid pro quo, hostile work environment)
          • Examples and case studies
          • Impact on individuals and the workplace
          • Role-playing scenarios to identify harassment

4. Reporting and Complaint Mechanisms (1.5 hours)

Objective: Understand how to report and handle complaints.

          • Reporting procedures within the organization
          • External reporting options (e.g., government agencies, legal action)
          • Confidentiality and protection against retaliation
          • Steps in the investigation process

5. Preventive Measures and Policy Implementation (1.5 hours)

Objective: Develop strategies to prevent harassment and implement policies.

          • Creating a POSH policy and training program
          • Promoting a respectful workplace culture
          • Regular training and awareness programs
          • Monitoring and enforcement mechanisms

6. Support and Resources (1 hour)

Objective: Know where to seek help and support.

          • Available resources for victims (counseling, legal aid, support groups)
          • Internal and external support structures
          • How to offer support to colleagues
          • Wellness and mental health considerations
